Crowne Plaza – Darling Harbour
Newly opened in June, the Crowne Plaza is located on the busy corner of Sussex and Bathurst Streets and conveniently within walking distance of Darling Harbour and the ICC. There are three pillar-less event spaces that can be combined to accommodate up to 170 people, banquet-style, a studio with capacity for 20 people, three dining venues – La Bella, 288 on Sussex and Cafe 58 – and 152 guests rooms. There is also a rooftop heated infinity pool with rooftop bar – perfect for networking drinks.

Ovolo – Woolloomooloo
Ovolo is located on Cowper Wharf in Woolloomooloo in a 1915 building that was originally used as a wool export facility. With exposed beams, timber flooring and bale chutes, the centre of the building is an open space with the 100 rooms running down either side across five levels. Fitting with the rock’n’roll style of the hotel, there are two suites dedicated to Australian rock icons, AC/DC and INXS, each with a themed look and feel. There’s a gym and indoor pool, and bicycles are available for guests to use. The function spaces are a mix of the old heritage and new, with the largest space catering to 200 banquet style. This space is the only part of the wharf in its original condition with wooden floorboards, high ceilings and an outdoor terrace.

Crown Towers Sydney – Barangaroo
Opening December 2020 and self-proclaimed as Sydney’s first six-star luxury hotel, this new build at Barangaroo South will feature 350 hotel rooms and suites, a pool and spa facilities alongside a range of specialty restaurants including global culinary star, Nobu. For events and meetings, the Pearl Ballroom accommodates up to 477 guests in theatre-style and includes an expansive pre-function area.

W Hotel – Darling Harbour
The new W Sydney – dubbed The Ribbon due to its undulating design – is set to open in 2021. The 6-star hotel will offer 402 stylish rooms, including the brand’s signature WET DECK (a pool deck with views), and have one restaurant and two bars, as well as W’s exclusive Living Room venue.

Porter House Hotel, MGallery by Sofitel – Sydney CBD
The Sydney CBD will see a new luxury hotel open on the corner of Bathurst and Castlereagh Street by late 2020. The 36-storey Porter House Hotel, MGallery by Sofitel will have 121 rooms on the first nine floors and 131 residential apartments on the upper floors. The adjacent heritage-listed Porter House will also be redeveloped as part of the project. The hotel will feature a fourth floor bar with rotating art gallery, pool, fitness centre and two restaurants, meeting and private dining facilities and a business centre.

voco Sydney Central – Sydney CBD
Located on Pitt Street in Central Sydney, the voco Sydney Central will feature a strikingly designed sloping roof filled with plants creating a ‘green water-fall’ effect. The hotel will include 301 guest rooms, conferencing and event spaces as well as a restaurant and bar. Opening date is scheduled for Q1 2022.

Campbell Stores – Circular Quay
Located between The Park Hyatt Hotel and The Overseas Passenger Terminal, the gable fronted, three-storey heritage-building underwent a multi-million dollar remediation and restoration effort in 2018. With uncompromised views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour, with restaurants and bars below, the spaces above have a raw, open-plan style that is of the original design with sandstone walls and wooden floorboards. The internal event rooms are set over the two top-floors with separate rooms for intimate lunch/dinner and cocktail events from 80 to 120 banquet dinner or 80 to 160 cocktail. The ground floor forecourt (outside), accommodates a minimum of 400 pax to 1,500 banquet dinner or 400 to 3,000 cocktail.

Beta Bar – Sydney
Hidden behind the heritage facade on Castlereagh Street, this multi-storey converted Victorian event space includes a private dining room, alpha restaurant and Beta bar. Re-opening the renovated Gallery space in October, by the end of 2020 Beta will also be home to The Grand; a dramatic, multi-purpose event space catering for 220 banquet-style. The expansion continues in 2021 with the Atrium; a set of three large suites on the top floor of Beta with an atrium-style glass ceiling.

The Calyx – Sydney Royal Botanic Garden
Inside the inner-city paradise that is Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden is an unusual and truly unique space; The Calyx. An integrated mix of indoor and outdoor areas featuring themed exhibitions and the southern hemisphere’s largest green wall, the themed botanical exhibitions change throughout the year to surprise and educate guests. 360 Bar – Sydney Tower
The bar formerly known as Sydney Tower Bar will re-open in Q3 2020. The highest event space in Sydney, 360 bar has been fully refurbished in bold décor with hints of 1970s glamour. Trippas White Group will be venue manager and caterer of this sky-high destination. 360 Bar is taking bookings from September 2020 – so get in quick for your Christmas party or E.O.Y networking event!
