We spent last weekend in the beautiful Hunter Valley with some of our favourite people.
From tasting our way through the past couple of vintages and wandering through the gorgeous new event spaces at Brokenwood Winery, to dining at Chateau Elan’s beautiful restaurant, it was a big weekend of food, wine and laughter!
We drove golf buggies around Chateau Elan’s Greg Norman-designed course and I can honestly say it was one of the prettiest courses I have ever seen. We also checked out the 19th hole – the Golf Club – for a casual lunch.
The team at voco Kirkton Park took care of us on Saturday afternoon with a cocktail making class and wood-fired pizzas for dinner, followed by drinks around an outdoor open fire under the stars.
It was fascinating to hear more about the hotel’s journey to sustainability. We even got to meet the chooks, the pigs and check out the market garden – a true country experience.
