Last week, The Conference Shop hosted our first in-person famil since lockdown and our experience at the Hyatt Regency Sydney was everything we expected and so much more!
Starting with welcome drinks, we were treated to the most spectacular sunset views of Sydney and Darling Harbour from the Zephyr rooftop bar. Awarded Hotel Bar of the Year in 2020, this is a space within the hotel that is pure luxury and in our opinion is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of conferences or meetings.
After this, the group headed to Jackalberry, another onsite restaurant/bar where the head barman demonstrated his expert cocktail-making skills while sharing his tips for picking the right cocktail for event guests, before heading to Sailmaker restaurant to join Chef Sven for a special masterclass. Bringing to life the area’s rich heritage through its fresh produce, and amazing seafood, Chef Sven went through basic food items and gave us some helpful tips about picking the right groceries at home to create our own culinary masterpiece.
Finally, it was time for dinner and we were treated to a truly memorable experience – the ‘Chefs of the world dinner’. Here we were served courses created by three different chefs, each hailing from a different part of the world.
Our culinary journey began in Korea, followed by India and then finished in Kenya, with each incredible dish accompanied by a touching and passionate story conveying the chef’s personal love of their hometown tastes and flavours. This was a clear highlight for all of us on the famil and showcased a really unique corporate dinner experience that we highly encourage you to offer your delegates.
To finish the night, we inspected the hotel’s many conferencing and meeting spaces before settling into our beautiful newly refurbished rooms. Hyatt Regency Sydney is a premium hotel that has been designed with corporate events in mind. With 21 event spaces across the property and 3,700 square metres of event space, this hotel can cater to groups of all sizes.
