Things to do for corporate groups in Cairns

There is no denying that the Cairns is a beautiful destination to visit for a holiday, but what you may not realise is that the region also has so many great things to do for corporate groups!

As we visited the region recently, here are six things to do (in and around Cairns) that we recommend for corporate groups.

GBR Helicopters

Available for private charters, these scenic helicopter flights are the best way to view the reef and experience the expanse of this natural wonder.  GBR Helicopters offers short flights or full-day scenic tours that cover not only the reef but the rainforest as well in the Cairns and Port Douglas areas.

Reef Magic

A 90-minute cruise drops you to the edge of the Great Barrier Reef on the brand new eco-friendly Reef Magic Pontoon.  With the capacity to host up to 450 guests, your delegates will have the option to jump right in with snorkeling or diving or, for those preferring not to get their feet wet, there is a glass-bottom boat tour and a pontoon viewing gallery.  Or just sit back and relax on a deck chair while taking in the magnificent turquoise seas and Queensland sun.

Mandingalbay Ancient Indigenous Tours

The Mandingalbay Yidinji people are the traditional owners of land and have been living on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef for thousands of years.  The Mandingalbay Ancient Indigenous Tours provide your group with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of these ancient lands.  Easily assessable starting with a river cruise and a comfortable bus transfer, the tours are personal and educational.

Hemingway’s Brewery

Located on the Trinity Inlet in Cairns Wharf, Hemingway’s Brewery not only offers your delegates delectable food and beverage with a water’s edge view but you can also give them a unique beer tasting experience.  With the craft brewery right on site your guests can arrange a private tasting in amongst the brewing vats for a memorable start to your dinner.  The heritage-listed building has a rustic timber décor with large barn doors to let the cool breezes flow in off the water.  Suitable for groups from 20 to 200.

Rainforestation

Rainforestation is a fun all-weather attraction that lets your guests experience what is uniquely Far North Queensland.  Located 40 minutes from Cairns, there are many tours to choose from which will be sure to delight and entertain.  Be sure not to miss the Army Duck experience.  These WWII amphibious vehicles take you anywhere – including in the middle of a small lake!

NuNu Restaurant

An outstanding beachfront restaurant in Palm Cove, (30 minutes from Cairns) NuNu Restuarant puts this region on the Foodie Map with Nick Holloway’s creative cooking.  Always bringing local ingredients to the plate, your palate will be delighted with the changing menu based on what is in supply and in season.  The team at NuNu will be sure to deliver a silver service culinary experience to your small or large group.
