The Conference Shop has been designed to assist event planners from all industries to connect to so many wonderful and often overlooked, regional destinations that NSW and ACT has to offer.

The website takes all of the hard work out of researching each regional destination with the primary goal of saving you valuable time. Our team has done the hard yards, travelled thousands of kilometres and visited hundreds of venues and local event suppliers, to ensure that their offering is ‘corporate ready’. We are committed to providing you with the most current and up to date information on each region and their suppliers.

Via our website, we are able to share this current, objective information with you…and best of all, it is available for free!

Carla was the founder of the highly successful Southern Highlands Corporate Events company and through that business recognised the need in the market for an online portal that connects event organisers with regional destinations.  Hence, she developed The Conference Shop, which makes planning events in regional NSW easy. She has a passion for the MICE industry and business development and has worked in the conference organising, venue sourcing and event management sectors for more than a decade.

Following more than 25 years as a business owner in the sales industry, Chris decided it was time for a change.  Having had experience in Southern Highlands Corporate Events for five years and being involved in the change over to The Conference Shop, it made sense that Chris should become a permanent fixture of the team.

With excellent interpersonal skills, Chris is responsible for the recruitment of all the wonderful venues, attractions and suppliers across regional NSW that feature on The Conference Shop website. Chris is passionate about the growth and development of such a user friendly resource for conference organisers and looks forward to rolling out further regions Australia wide.

Katie is the friendly voice of The Conference Shop and is responsible for managing the all important relationships with our clients, including suppliers and customers alike. With over 14 years experience working in the travel, events and corporate hospitality industries in England and Australia, Katie has organised many successful events for corporate and not-for-profit clients in Australia, Europe and the USA.  Her passion for events and her understanding of what makes a great event are perfectly suited to helping our customers find their ideal venue and for keeping them up to date with the latest news and offers.

Previously a founding member of the Southern Highlands Corporate Events team, Kate has over 15 years experience in the luxury hospitality, retail, television and public relations industries in both Australia and London. Kate has worked for companies such as The House of Fraser Group of Department Stores and The Grove 5 star Country Estate in London, Zero1Zero Post Production in Sydney and Channel 10. Based in Sydney, Kate is responsible for managing The Conference Shop’s PR and Communications strategy, building relationships with the press and ensuring that EAs and PAs are kept up to date and informed.
